Epic day on the surf.

Today we woke up thinking we were going to have a wonderful day on the surf.. We stopped at Jimmy's place that he works and had a couple ice coffees and snacks.. We then stopped at a guy on Cotter and Ryans team and picked up a board and a couple wetsuits for Brooke and Ryan.  Day was going solid as we had a good start on the day.  We got to the "spot" and saw some pretty big waves.  we were all pumped..

So Ryan and I jumped on our boards and were paddling out.. Waves were HUGE and we took about 25 minutes to get passed the breaking point.  As we we drifted down the coast getting thrashed, Nueman was learning on the smaller white water waves.. (where Ryan and I should have been.. haha)..  It was a good day so far, and Ryan and I caught a wave in to get out and walk back up to where cotter and Brooke were surfing.

As we got closer to Cotter and Brooke.. they were running out of the water.  He gave us a wave.. like yooo come here.. hurry.. So were like yea yea yea.. were coming.. He gave another serious wave.. thats when I look at Ryan and said "yoo.. is something going on?"  so we ran up and Brooke was holding her head crying.. Cotter looked worried as he was taking his wetsuit off in a hurry.. Took his under armour off and put it over her eyebrow.. He was showing her how to stand up and caught a wave.. as he jumped off the board flew towards her and hit her in the Eyebrow.. her face was bloody and her eyebrow opened right up.. We walked up to the car with the under amour pressured on her head..

Luckily "big mike" from the local ICU was driving by checking the surf.  He pulled in and was the nicest guy.  We fallowed him to his house where he gave here some sticky stitches until the emergency room.. We made it to the Emergency room in no time and it turned out being the quickest trip to the hospital ever.  Two disolveable stitches under 6 other stitches later.. Brooke has her new battle wound.. luckily it was in the eyebrow and not an inch higher or lower.. Enjoy this pic.
