"We should wake up early tomorrow and Surf.."

So cotter and I planned on waking up early today to surf.
After falling asleep fast last night, we figured the alarms would get us up and out in no time this morning.... A snooze and a shut off later, we were making breakfast for ourselves at about 1130am, and we were bringing up this idea of surfing again.

In order to go surfing we had to make a checklist that stood between us and the waves.

• Eat.
• Get the boards from two different people.
• Find rope in the meantime to hook the boards up top.
• Get directions to a surf area downloaded onto one of our mobile devices.
• Get Gas.
• And the motivation to go.

We ate fast, and called our sources for the boards.  When packing for the trip we knew we were going to be cold, but forgot to ask around for wet suits (the mistake).  So we get the boards and some rope to tie them up, and making good timing.  As we find an alright spot we step out of the car.  IT IS FREEEZING.. We knew the sun was out here and there, but we didn't take into consideration of the wind off the water.  It made for some sick waves, but we only watched a few guys shred.

As an American, I already made the mistake of doing the shopping cart on stage at the HQ, I didn't want to make the mistake of being the American that died of frozen limbs.

Thank god that we have the boards to use, now its just manning up, or finding someone to lend us wetsuits.

Also, I just wanted to say that today is a sad day for many, as MTV jackass legend, Ryan Dunn, died in a car accident.  This was a big shock to many people as we look back to all the brave stunts these daredevils put on, it never crosses our mind that these guys have a life outside of Hollywood.  May his family, friends, and fans let this legendary impact live on.
