The weekend.

This is a sick spot me and cotter found when driving the surfboards around.. Its kinda dark.. but a sweet picture.

Friday night.. me and cotter sat on our asses all night contimplating going out.. until we noticed it was like 1230 in the morning and we had a game on Saturday

Saturday I woke up at about 830 to rush to the lacrosse field and coach the U13 team.  Its crazy that I coach this team because its all kids from the most random places around the world coming from a low socioeconomic backgrounds.  I feel bad when Im the assistant coach to these kids and they have noooo idea how to listen to my "accent" and understand how it registers to them on the field.

I had to take a picture of this little dude that I coach.. he was intent on wearing jesus sadals on the turf for the game.. He and everyone else on the team cant afford lacrosse stuff so the club gives them the hockey helmets and just handy down sticks from others in the club.

If I opened a lacrosse store out here.. I think it would make a killing.


We played cotters team during the day, we ended up losing to them in a good game.

Saturday night, Cotter and I went to the president of my clubs house for a real good dinner and drinks.  We got to eat dinner off some plates that he won on the wheel of fortune after coming in first 3 times in a row.  This dinner set came from some of the stuff he won.. Fun fact. i think haha

We went out into the city last night.  Cotter, Ryan, and I as the americans we are.  Its so expensive at the bars so all our nights start with a great little pregame then a funny ass taxi ride into the city.  Everyone is so nice here, and this Henly st. in the Adelaide city is full of bars and nightclubs.  There was soooo many people out.. Even at like 4 in the morning when eating a late night slice and catching the cab home.  Party never stops.

Sunday I slept and napped all day.  Sunday night we drank a little bit and went to some dudes house that Is on Cotter and Ryans team.  His house is sick and we are hoping to plan our trip to Melbourne then Sydney for the lacrosse break we have coming up.

Brendans got a job?!

So I called an ad for a dishwasher yesturday and the guy said yea come in at 1130 tomorrow (today) and check it out and see if you like it.

Today I showed up, on time! haha its a place thats right in the City.  I got a 3 hour lunch shift in and he invited me back to work on friday!  Looks like Ill be getting paid under the table being a dishslave at this classy resturaunt in Adelaide City.

"We should wake up early tomorrow and Surf.."

So cotter and I planned on waking up early today to surf.
After falling asleep fast last night, we figured the alarms would get us up and out in no time this morning.... A snooze and a shut off later, we were making breakfast for ourselves at about 1130am, and we were bringing up this idea of surfing again.

In order to go surfing we had to make a checklist that stood between us and the waves.

• Eat.
• Get the boards from two different people.
• Find rope in the meantime to hook the boards up top.
• Get directions to a surf area downloaded onto one of our mobile devices.
• Get Gas.
• And the motivation to go.

We ate fast, and called our sources for the boards.  When packing for the trip we knew we were going to be cold, but forgot to ask around for wet suits (the mistake).  So we get the boards and some rope to tie them up, and making good timing.  As we find an alright spot we step out of the car.  IT IS FREEEZING.. We knew the sun was out here and there, but we didn't take into consideration of the wind off the water.  It made for some sick waves, but we only watched a few guys shred.

As an American, I already made the mistake of doing the shopping cart on stage at the HQ, I didn't want to make the mistake of being the American that died of frozen limbs.

Thank god that we have the boards to use, now its just manning up, or finding someone to lend us wetsuits.

Also, I just wanted to say that today is a sad day for many, as MTV jackass legend, Ryan Dunn, died in a car accident.  This was a big shock to many people as we look back to all the brave stunts these daredevils put on, it never crosses our mind that these guys have a life outside of Hollywood.  May his family, friends, and fans let this legendary impact live on.

Without a doubt in my mind.. i rolled onto the stage last night.


So last night we heard there was a flash dance at this place called "HQ".. and we decided to show our american faces there.  When talking to the roommates and people around, they said the flashdance nights were a lot of fun but expensive like everything else in this country.  So me cotter and another american Ryan did a heavy pregame.

Upon our arrival, we had to walk through a medal detector outside the club.. me being a drunk idiot took my belt off thinking i was at a fucking airport or something.

The night is going great as we met up with Mike Kehoe and Finnegan.. more Americans.

Peak drunkness rolls around, and we hear the DJ say "we need three people to come on stage to dance off"...

I look to my right.. and me and Kehoe were both on stage.
I pulled out the shopping cart like it was going out of fashion.. cause it is. and Kehoe pulled his shirt off like it was on fire. hahahhaha (supposedly there is a video.. TBD)

I tried to hop on stage to just see what was going on at one point after that.. I got kicked off by the bouncer im pretty sure haha

Anyway... the night continued on and we flagged down a cab to bring us home at about 330 outside of a fat man McDonalds stop.

We were having a great conversation about how we got Osama with the Iranian cab driver on the way home.. Asking him what he thinks about it..

First night out

Hahah well last night was a funny night cause cotter and I have been so exhausted and finally decided to man up and try and forget that we were tired with some adult beverages.. When buying a 24 rack for 44$.. We knew we had to drink what we paid so much for..

No video was recorded last night.. But I got one picture on the phone from mcdonalds at about 230 on our walk home from the city..

First Couple of days.

Right now im chillin with Cotter on the couch of my place watching the bruins game.. its wierd cause its 1015am here and were watching it live.  This last couple of days have been pretty awesome..
Yesturday was the first full day and i woke up with absolutly no idea what to do with myself.  I got a hold of cotter and we met up at one of his teamates houses.  It was funny cause i was like "ill catch a cab"..  This isnt your everyday city where there is cabs all over the place.. I walked for about an hour down some random road and finally waved one down when I was walking home to just call a cab.

We hung out at his buddies house then went into the city.  The city was real sweet and once me and cotter are done being zombies from the jet lag, the city is where were going out for sure.

We came back to my place last night on the bus, and met up with my roomate to bring me to get my car.. That shit is halarious.. i drove it about 20 mph because I was scared shitless.. felt like a mail man driving on the wrong side of the road.

Well I just wanted to update everyone on what was going on.  I will be making videos once I get fully settled.
